This massive paperback contains short biographies and sample pages by 140 important manga artists, including Osamu Tezuka, who is treated on pp. 344-349. It reproduces images from Astro Boy, Black Jack, Phoenix, and Princess Knight. The biographical text is in English, French and German, while the manga samples are untranslated.

Note: The title “Manga Design,” does not appear on the cover – it just says “MANGA” in big letters.
