Amongst the pantheon of evil-doers in the Star System, Satan holds a unique position. He is the very epitome of all the personal characteristics that Osamu Tezuka himself found frightening as a child.
Kojiro Sasaki is a bundle of energy. Given his quick temper, and the skill and constancy with which he handles a (usually bamboo) sword, he’s a specialist at playing the “right-hand man” and/or “closely matched rival” sort of roles. As such, he usually appears as part of a team, gang, or group of henchmen. However, he’s also usually a bit of the loner or outcast.
Rommel is one of the most imposing supporting actors in Osamu Tezuka's Star System. That should come as no surprise since the blood of Marshall Erwin Rommel - the Desert Fox himself, one of the most renowned tacticians of World War II - courses through his veins.
Notaarin is one of Tezuka's oldest and most prolific Stars. Unlike some of the other scientists, like Dr. Ochanomizu and Dr. Hanamaru, who are concerned with the betterment of mankind, or Dr. Tenma and Dr. Fooler, who are concerned with the betterment of their own lot in life, Notaarin is mainly interested in hearing the sound of his own voice.
Given his slightly odd appearance, you might be forgiven for thinking he's just another goofy comedy relief character, but despite being a bit sloppy, Norse Necktall is actually quite shrewd and usually finds himself playing either administrative or media-related roles.
Despite his dashing good looks, Mason never really established himself as a leading man. Instead, he developed into a solid supporting Star, often taking on leadership roles as a captain, commander or some other kind of military officer. While they are usually handsome and quick-witted, they often have questionable intentions.
Visually based on an early childhood friend of Tezuka's - the very same person, in fact, who first introduced him to his life-long love of studying insects - Sankaku Kin is one Tezuka's more important villains. Although his roles vary slightly, he has carved out a substantial career as the leader of a group of crooks referred to collectively as the "Sankaku Kin Gang". Also, despite usually being cast as a no-nonsense crime boss, given his origins, he is often portrayed as having some endearing qualities.
