Star System

Leo [aka Kimba]
Leo (also well-known as Kimba), is the central character of Tezuka’s most overtly environmentalist series. Leo is a white lion, and the son of Panja, the "King of the Jungle".

Lamp, Acetylene
One of Tezuka's best-known and most often cast villains, Acetylene Lamp is an unscrupulous and unsavory character whose ruthless nature means he will stop at nothing to see his sinister plots succeed - including killing anyone, be they enemy or ally, who stands in his way.

Mokusan [aka Kutter]
Mokusan is a commonly seen, but minor Tezuka Star. Although generally amicable and easy-going late-middle-aged man, he is prone to bouts of gluttony and sloth. In short, his character is best summed up as "that meal-meaning but lazy uncle that always shows up, purely by coincidence, for every meal."

Kin Sankaku
Visually based on an early childhood friend of Tezuka's - the very same person, in fact, who first introduced him to his life-long love of studying insects - Sankaku Kin is one Tezuka's more important villains. Although his roles vary slightly, he has carved out a substantial career as the leader of a group of crooks referred to collectively as the "Sankaku Kin Gang". Also, despite usually being cast as a no-nonsense crime boss, given his origins, he is often portrayed as having some endearing qualities.

Kenichi Shikishima
Kenichi is the earliest and one of Tezuka’s most frequently cast boy heroes. The eternal optimist, he possesses an unshakable faith in the inherent goodness in the world and human nature. Basically, he's the number one boy scout!

Ken
A stalwart space cowboy-hero, Ken is a boy with a mysterious past.
Captain Ken, also known as the “Savior of the Martians”, is a mysterious human hero boy who, along with his powerful robot horse, Arrow, intervenes to help combat the growing violence between human settlers and the indigenous martian population.

Kao Sekken
One of Tezuka's oldest Stars, Kao Sekken is more of a crook than a true villain. He usually appears alongside his co-conspirators Afill and Gratin, and might show up as a member of a secret society, religious fanatic, a kidnapper, or some other kind of thug.
