Poseidon was one of the Twelve Olympians in ancient Greek religion and mythology, presiding over the sea, storms, earthquakes and horses.

Distinguishing Features

With his giant head, tiger-like stripes and hooked horns, you shouldn’t have any trouble picking Poseidon out of a crowd.

Status: Secondary Star (★★)

A tyrant who rules the undersea world with an iron fist, and leader of the Poseidon family. He fears the survival of the Tritons, so he intends to exterminate Triton and end his family line forever. To that end, he sends his 33 children – each more hideous than the last – to hunt them down. However, with 33 children (and counting) Poseidon certainly has some experience playing the hate father-figure role.

Notable Roles

Although his debut and primary role is as the main antagonist in Triton of the Sea (1969-71), Poseidon also made a brief appearance in The Rainbow Parakeet (1981-82) chapter “Ondine” as Ondine’s father – thus pretty much confirming her status as a water nymph.
