Chippei

Also known as チッペイ (Chippei)

Hello, My Name (in English) is…

No special meaning is known.

Distinguishing Features

Chippei is easy to spot by his large eyes and his close-cropped sides and forward-combed shaggy haircut with gives him a vaguely wolf-like appearance even in his human form.

Status: Secondary Star (★★)

The younger brother of Toppei, Chippei is a young and precocious boy whose penchant for exploring gets the two of them in trouble.  Of course, as a werewolf who transforms at the mere sight of anything round (including a full-moon), the amount of trouble that Chippei is able to get in can be significant.

Notable Roles

Although Chippei is most notable as one of the primary cast members in Vampires (1966-69), he has also made a few other appearances in Black Jack (1973-83) and The Three-Eyed One (1974-78).  Besides being cast as an actual werewolf, Chippei usually has a canine-connection in even his most human roles.
