Rokkaku

Also known as 六角 (Rokkaku)

Hello, My Name (in English) is…

Rokkaku means “Hexagonal” in Japanese.

Distinguishing Features

You can usually spot Rokkaku by his wide jawline, thick glasses and pimply face.

Status: Minor Star (★)

Rokkaku is the consummate traditional Japanese student. A little absent-minded and slow on the uptake, likely because of all the hours he spends hunched over a desk, he’s usually given the role of someone’s “friend from school” or some other kind of nondescript man-in-the-crowd. When he’s not playing the role of a B-level student, his roles tend towards teachers or some other official with a modest level of authority.

Notable Roles

Rokkaku made his subtle debut in Next World (1951) as of of the residents of the tenement. Although he’s never had a starring or recurring role, he’s popped up as Shibugaki‘s classmate in the Astro Boy (1952-68) chapter “Electro”. He was also one of the teachers, along with Noracula, in Microid S (1973).
