Fujimoto, Hiroshi
Hiroshi Fujimoto is one half (along with Motoo Abiko) of one of the most prolific manga writing teams known as Fujiko Fujio - the creator of Doraemon. Born in Toyama on 1 December 1933, he passed away on 23 September 1996 at the age of 62.
Brad [aka Captain Blood]
Born into the nobility, but raised by pirates, Brad is strong, noble and brave, but with a mischievously dashing wild streak. He and Sapphire feel a strong attraction for each other - much to the chagrin of Franz who is, unknowingly, Brad's younger brother.
Depha
As a samanna (a non-Brahmin monk), Depha subscribes to the philosophy that human beings were meant to suffer - even going so far as to burn out his own eyes to prove the point. Simply put, he has an extremely serious and stoic personality. He is as straight-laced as they come, and is completely inflexible in his thinking.
Dekobin
A hard working, "blue collar" family man, Dekobin's kindly grandpa-like appearance belies his hot temper - a holdover from his slightly shady youth and something that still occaisionally gets the best of him. Although he is usually cast as an innkeeper, or a saloon proprietor, his greatest strength is in roles where he is able to play the protagonist's father.
Dekon, Dr.
Another of Tezuka's scientists - in many ways similar to Dr. Hanamaru. Dr. Dekon's kindly appearance belies his sharp intellect and iron will. Usually cast as a scientist or doctor, on occaision he has taken on other authority figure roles, such as a chief administrator, a teacher or someone's father.
Deven
As unscrupulous as he is greedy, Deven is a true professional when it comes to played crooked politicians and corrupt captains of industry. As such, he is usually cast as the main villain in a story, often with a gang of henchmen, such as Acetylene Lamp or Hamegg, ready to do his bidding so that he doesn't need to sully his hands directly.
Donguri
As Chief Detective Kenichi's loyal myna bird companion, Donguri uses his abilities to perfectly mimic human speech and communicate with other birds to help crack the case.
