As Chief Detective Kenichi‘s loyal myna bird companion, Donguri uses his abilities to perfectly mimic human speech and communicate with other birds to help crack the case.
Notable Roles
Although Donguri is a series regular in his debut work, Chief Detective Kenichi (1954-58), he has almost never appeared elsewhere. However, the single known exception was as part on an avian ensemble cast (along with Phoenix, Pukko the duck, and the Rainbow Parakeet‘s pet bird) in the Unico [First Grader] (1980-84) chapter, “Mend the Nest” (1981).
