Chocola is obviously a derivative of the Enligsh word “chocolate” – a perfectly sweet name for a perfectly sweet teenage vampire girl.
Distinguishing Features
With her pointed vampire ears and fangs, there’s no mistaking this charming young lady.
Status: Secondary Star (★★)
Chocola is just your everyday bright, young, middle-school student… she just also happens to be the daughter of the famous vampire in history, Count Dracula. Since she turns to dust when exposed to sunlight, she attends special night classes at Matsutachi Junior High School in Tokyo. Doing her best to fit in, Chocola is an active member of the school’s SF Club – albeit mainly in an attempt to get close the the club president, Nobuhiko Obayashi, the cutest boy in school.
Notable Roles
Although best known in her namesake role in Don Dracula (1979), Chocola also made an appearance (alongside her father) in one chapter of Black Jack (1973-83).
